You’ve probably heard of the “fight or flight” state that is regulated by the sympathetic branch of the autonomic nervous system. You’ll also probably be familiar with being in “rest and digest” state where you are calm and relaxed. But did you know, both of these systems are essential for our wellbeing; as long as they are in balance?

Gong baths offer a natural way to help you get to the balance that is right for you.

 What is a gong bath/sound bath?


Your trained and experienced practitioner will play tuned gongs in a very specific way designed to take you on a personal relaxing sound journey. During the session you become immersed in the sound waves that the gongs create. Obviously, you cannot see sound waves and it is the vibration that the sound of the gongs generate that you gently feel and experience. 

Sound Cuddle gong sessions rapidly help you to reach a meditative, relaxed and blissful state of mind. Our clients report their experiences of this sound-induced relaxation differently; visualising beautiful colours, feeling relaxed in mind and body, observing the absence of thoughts and the feeling of emotional release. For many people though, all of these experiences can be present at the same time, evolving during the session.

Once you let the sound of the gongs wash over you and as your mind and body become relaxed, you’ll almost certainly feel more centred and focussed. Most people lose track of time but you’ve no need to worry, your practitioner will bring you safely to the end of the session ready to face the rest of your day or evening.

A Sound Cuddle gong session usually lasts about an hour but can be adjusted according to group’s requirements.
